There is a New - Free Book Box mounted on the lamp post, just east of the church office. The box has a see through door so that you can see the books, easily take a book and leave a book for someone else to read. This is a fun idea and if you enjoy reading and discovering new things, take a moment to check out the latest addition to Ebenezer.

EBENEZER UNITED CHURCH WOMEN (UCW)
We meet on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, usually at 1:30 pm with the exception of July & Aug. Generally, meetings are held in the church parlour and comprise devotional, often a speaker, offering, business and refreshments. Financially we support a wide range of charitable institutions within the community, our country and around the world as well as our own local church. Several of our members participate in the Prayer Shawl group.
On Tuesday, December 13, 2022, we enjoyed a delicious lunch catered by Will Davies with help from the kitchen crew of George Moore, Addy Mountjoy and Ted Barnes. The Nightingales, a singing group from Port Perry, provided an afternoon of Christmas songs with an added touch of humour. A great afternoon was enjoyed by many. Donations of gently used and/or new household items were collected for the Durham Ukrainian Relief Project to assist with the settlement of families in Durham Region. Visit www.durhamimmigration.ca for more information. All ladies of the congregation are welcome and encouraged to become an active part of UCW.
